Progression in Wuthering Waves is mission-based, with the main storyline spanning throughout the game. Various side quests and side stories scattered throughout the overworld are also included. Daily Missions are a set of tasks that take place every day, awarding points for completion. Players can accumulate maximum 100 points per day to receive chests containing Astrites and large amounts of Alliance EXP, allowing for quick leveling. These missions reset every day.

Task Manual is the fixed duty, marking the player's progress. Milestones in this mission are divided by Alliance level and in-game stage. Upon completion, players will receive exclusive items, special Echoes, and character upgrade materials.

These challenges include battles with groups of enemies. Once completed, the player uses it Waveplate or Energy to receive rewards. The higher the Alliance level, the greater the reward.
