| Honkai: Star Rail is not an open world game

Despite being able to freely explore different worlds, Honkai: Star Rail Not is an open world game. It's more of a turn-based RPG than a linear plot.

| Why does this happen?

Although you can explore worlds and cities by running around. But most areas cannot be viewed or discovered in many ways. Most areas have invisible walls and a lot of places have inaccessible doors.

Aside from teleportation, Honkai: Star Rail doesn't have the usual discovery mechanics like jump, climb or swim.

Load screen when entering the area

Most open world games no loading screen when entering another area. Usually, generated in real time. Some exceptions include teleporting to another area. Or wait for an in-game cutscene.

When entering another world or region in Honkai: Star Rail, the player will always pass through loading screen.

More linear and story-based

Most areas require the player to complete the game's story through Quest Quests and No other way to access locked areas. Actions taken by the player more often do not affect the environment or change the main story of the game.

| Honkai: Is Star Rail the same as Genshin Impact?

Although both games play almost the same in their worlds. But Honkai: Star Rail and Genshin Impact are two different types of games.

Honkai: Star Rail is more about games turn-based combat action while Genshin Impact operates as an open world game with real-time combat.
