Garen in Teamfight Tactics version 8.5 is a 4-money champion that replaces Sett and owns both the God Armor and the Guards clans. Garen will mainly act as a main tanker in the frontline, to protect teammates in the back row from time to deal damage.

During the Tactics v 8.5 season, Sett was removed from the champion roster and replaced by Garen. Garen is not only a mere tank, but also possesses impressive damage and control ability, which can take on the main role in your squad.

Especially, when equipped Pirate Cannon and core technology Put Power Into the Sword, Garen will become an invincible main Carry if fully combined these two factors.

When to Build Garen Carry?

How to play?

This is a lineup that will Transforming the God of War for Garen and Garen will be the main Carry dame general. Draven will support damage in the backline and the Tanker position will belong to Lee Sin with the ability to buff armor for allies.

Early game stage

You can start the match with 3 Superman add Draven as the main dame in the backline. Prioritize pairing Infinity Sword and Blood Sword on Draven so that you can later exchange Draven for Garen in the mid-game. This form will def blood extremely well in the early stages.

Mid game

With the Garen Carry dame build, you'll only really play this formation when you own the Sword Empower core or you get the Pirate Cannon Ornn equipment. If you already have a Pirate Cannon, you can Optimal is always on Draven to def health to 8.

Remember, we don't play Reroll Superman 3 star and God Armor 3 star so won't roll at level 6 and 7. If the champion comes out on its own you can catch it to get 3 stars. Late game stage
